CCT College Dublin in Ireland 2026

Study Faster & Better

As overseas education consultants who've been guiding Indian students to Ireland for years, we're big fans of CCT College Dublin. Established back in 2005 as the College of Computing Technology, it started small with just 11 international students and 4 staff members in a leased building in Dublin. Over the past two decades, it's grown organically into one of Ireland's leading private higher education institutions, now with over 1,400 students and a prime spot right in the city centre at Westmoreland Street. They celebrate their 20th anniversary in 2025, and it's clear from our experience that their "education-first" approach, reinvesting profits year after year, has built a solid reputation for quality teaching, strong student support, and real industry connections.

Why Indian students love CCT College Dublin, and why we keep recommending it, comes down to a few practical things that match what most of our clients are looking for. Ireland's post-study work options are generous (up to 2 years for master's grads), and Dublin is a tech hub with companies like Google, Meta, and Accenture hiring constantly. CCT's programs in computing, data analytics, cybersecurity, and business are super career-focused, with hands-on skills that employers want. Fees are more affordable compared to bigger universities, acceptance is relatively straightforward if you meet the criteria, and the college offers excellent support for internationals, dedicated careers services, small class sizes, and a welcoming vibe. We've seen many Indian students settle in quickly, land part-time jobs, and transition smoothly to full-time roles after graduation.

Quick overview of what CCT offers today: It's a specialist in QQI-validated programs from Level 6 to 9, focusing on IT, computing, and business. UG options include honours degrees in Computing & IT or Business (needing 60% in 12th with maths), while PG masters in Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, Computing, or International Business often accept relevant work experience even with 3-year degrees. English tests are mandatory, gaps and backlogs (up to 4) get checked carefully, and there's that firm no-go for applicants from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

In short, if you're an Indian student eyeing practical, job-ready education in a lively European city without massive costs or ultra-competitive entry, CCT is a smart, reliable choice. We've placed dozens here successfully, happy to review your profile and see if it fits!

As overseas education consultants with years of hands-on experience helping Indian students land spots in Irish colleges, we've worked closely with CCT College Dublin for a long time. It's a solid, practical institution in the heart of Dublin, focused on IT, computing, and business programs that actually prepare you for jobs. We've sent quite a few students there, and we've learned the ins and outs of what the college looks for, especially from India.

Over time, we've noticed some clear patterns in admissions, things like strict rules on certain Indian states, gap years, backlogs, and how they handle qualifications. Here's a straightforward breakdown from our experience dealing with their applications day in and day out.

General Rules We Always Tell Students About CCT College Dublin

CCT keeps things pretty straightforward, but they have some firm non-negotiables for international applicants, especially from India.

  • English proficiency is non-optional. You must submit a valid test score (IELTS, Duolingo, TOEFL, etc.) right at the start, no exceptions. They've got their own internal English check too before you start classes.
  • Academics and any study gaps need full documentation. Transcripts, certificates, and a solid explanation for any breaks in education are must-haves. They review gaps case by case.
  • Students from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, unfortunately, CCT does not accept applications from these two states. We've tried advocating for exceptions, but their policy is strict on this, so we guide students from those regions to other Irish options.
  • Backlogs? They generally accept up to 4 backlogs. Anything more, and it becomes very tough, sometimes possible on a case-by-case trial basis if the rest of your profile is strong, but don't count on it.

Undergraduate (UG) Admissions at CCT – What Actually Works

For bachelor's programs, CCT looks for strong 12th-grade results and no major red flags in your timeline. From our files, they cap gaps tightly.

  • Maximum 1 year gap after 12th is allowed, no more. If you've got longer (say, 2+ years), even with good justification, it's usually a no-go for UG.
  • Grade 12 needs at least 60% overall, and most programs want Mathematics as a subject.
  • English test is mandatory, as mentioned.
  • Full academic docs plus gap justification letter if needed.

Here are the key UG courses we've placed students in successfully:

Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Computing and IT This is one of their flagship programs.

  • 12th standard with minimum 60%.
  • Mathematics must be part of your 12th subjects. We've had students with strong math backgrounds thrive here, which leads straight into good IT roles in Dublin.

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Business Very popular among our business-minded applicants.

  • 12th with 60% aggregate.
  • Mathematics required in 12th. It's a great foundation if you're aiming for management or entrepreneurship later.

Bachelor of Business (Honours) (Add-on) This is more for students who already have a bachelor's or equivalent.

  • Requires a prior bachelor's degree with 60% in Business or a related field.
  • Many use this as a top-up to get an Irish honours degree. Graduates often move to Level 9 (master's) programs afterward.

Postgraduate (PG) Admissions – Our Go-To Options at CCT

PG is where CCT really shines for career-focused students. They are more flexible on qualifications if you bring work experience.

  • Bachelor's degree requirement: Usually a 4-year bachelor's degree. But we've successfully placed students with 3-year degrees when they have solid 2-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • English proficiency test-again, mandatory.
  • Academic transcripts and gap justification are reviewed carefully.
  • Same state restriction: No students from Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.
  • Backlogs up to 4, as above.

Specific PG programs we recommend often:

MSc in Data Analytics Hot demand right now.

  • 60% in your undergrad from ICT, Computing, Business, Engineering, Science, or similar fields.
  • If your degree is non-related, you need proven work experience in math or data analytics areas. We've seen non-tech grads get in with 2-3 years in data roles.

MSc in Cybersecurity Great for IT security aspirants.

  • 60% in ICT or Computing undergrad. Straightforward if your background matches—no major extras needed.

MSc in Computing Broad and flexible computing master's.

  • 60% in ICT/Computing.
  • Non-cognate backgrounds need at least 5 years relevant industry experience. Perfect for career changers with solid work history.

MA in International Business Ideal for those eyeing global roles.

  • 60% in Business or related field, or
  • Non-business degree with a minimum 3 years of employment in business operations or leadership. We've placed several students here who had management experience back home.

In our experience, CCT is approachable and career-oriented, but you have to match their boxes exactly—especially the state policy, gap limits, and backlog cap. If your profile fits, the visa success rate is decent, and the programs deliver real skills for the Irish job market. Drop us your details if you're thinking about applying—we can check eligibility quickly and guide you through the process based on what we've seen work time and again.
