Who Can Appear For IELTS?

IELTS Test Syllabus 2026
IELTS exam syllabus for 2026 is nothing special. You need to follow the same format for IELTS academic and IELTS general training as the previous year.
IELTS exam has four sections – a listening test, a reading test, a writing test in 2 parts, and speaking in 3 different parts including the IELTS cue card test or you can say the task card test.
The listening and reading parts are similar for both general practice and academic sections, yet the differences can only be noticed in the reading part.
How is the IELTS Test is Scored?
All IELTS scores range from 0-9. Though each university has its own required score that students need to achieve on their IELTS exams, most universities expect a band score above six (6). Test takers get raw scores for every section (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) besides overall scores which are an average over all ‘screens’.
